Among union journos, a HuffPo backlash

Over at the website put up by the Media Workers Guild’s freelance unit, they’re stirring the pot over Arianna Huffington’s big AOL payday and the fact that HuffPo doesn’t pay its myriad contributors. It’s called “Hey, Arianna, Can You Spare a Dime?,” and freelancer organizer and ex-Marin IJ reporter Rebecca Rosen Lum says:
"Like many other publishers, Arianna Huffington has taken advantage of the glut in journalistic talent that allows news organizations to pay next to nothing – or, in the case of the Huffington Post’s bloggers, nothing. Call us old fashioned, but we think that’s just wrong."
Add website: Lots of fire-breathing at the site, where HuffPo VP for media relations Mario Ruiz has deployed to fight the flames.

Add video: If you missed it earlier, that's stand-up comic Kate Hendricks' nod to the website, spoofing Arianna addressing the troops.
