Former KPFA Morning Show host Brian Edwards-Tiekert, who, along with co-host Aimee Allison, was laid off at the station last year, has been reinstated with back pay and benefits. But Berkeleyside’s Lance Knobel reports that he’s returning to the financially-troubled Pacifica Radio station as a news reporter, not as a host.Add: In a letter to supporters, Edwards-Tiekert confirms that he goes back on the payroll Monday and asserts that station owner Pacifica Foundation has “basically conceded it can’t win the pending arbitration over my dismissal.” As of now, at least, Allison’s arbitration is still pending.
