Accused smear artist’s college major: ‘ethics’

Tuesday, May 17, 2011

image On his Burson-Marsteller bio page, former CNBC reporter turned public relations guy Jim Goldman is described as holding “the U.S. Technology Practice Chair” for the PR giant. Sounds pretty exalted for someone implicated in smearing Google on behalf of Burson client Facebook.

Add: Scroll to the bottom of the bio, to the part about Goldman’s educational background, and there’s also this jaw-dropper:

Jim obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Ethics in Political Journalism and Political Philosophy from Brown University.

Also: From the press release welcoming him aboard last year: “Jim’s deep relationships in Silicon Valley and strong reputation will quickly make him an integral part of our technology practice.”
