The next TV portrayal of San Francisco looks pretty dark, judging from the pilot trailer for “Alcatraz,” the Fox time-travel series that’s been picked up for next season. The premise: Alcatraz Federal Prison didn’t really shut down in ‘63 like we were told. Instead, the inmates mysteriously disappeared and now, well…that’s where the writers take over.
Add: The cast includes “Lost” alum Jorge Garcia as a penitentiary expert. The pilot crew was in town filming in February.
