Arnold enters the confessional . . .

image And immediately recognizes the priest from the sound of his voice as Willie Brown. The Governator just wants to say how embarrassed he is about letting us all down, especially his friends.

Priest Willie tells him not to worry. In fact, he says: “What are you talking about? You did exactly what I or anybody else would have done, which is do your best to protect your family.”

Even Arnold knows this is baloney, but, hey, he’ll take it. Priest Willie continues: “We all do things we wouldn’t want anyone else to know about.”

By the time they’re done, Arnold feels better. That was Thursday night. And today after reading Priest Willie’s (pay-walled) column in the Chronicle about how impregnating his housekeeper was no big deal, he’s no doubt feeling much better. A good priest is hard to find.

Editor’s note: Any satirical reference to San Francisco Chronicle Sunday columnist Willie Brown and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is purely intentional. All quotes authentic from Brown column, May 22, 2011.
