The Chronicle today re-launched SFiS Style, the broadsheet glossy it introduced in select affluent zip codes in 2006. Same furs and diamonds content, only this time they’re distributing it to the masses. Judging from the inaugural issue, the emphasis looks about evenly split between new and old money.
Add SFiS: The online press kit includes this pitch for advertisers: “Broad readership across all demographics for maximum reach, but especially female readers with high incomes.” And there’s also this line: “Themed content with ad adjacencies to reach your target audience.”
Can a parody publication be far behind?
