Death extends its holiday—at San Quentin

Monday, May 2, 2011

image There hasn’t been an execution at San Quentin since Clarence Ray Allen in January 2006 and there apparently won’t be another one until at least next year. The reason? There’s a new warden and he has yet to assemble his lethal injection team, the Stockton Record reports.

Add: In case you wondered, of the 720 men on Death Row, only about seven have exhausted their appeals.
