Just how fast is Simon & Schuster bringing to market “A Stolen Life,” kidnap victim Jaycee Dugard’s memoir due to hit book stores July 12?
Add Dugard: The judge who’s to sentence kidnappers Phillip and Nancy Garrido June 2 says he’ll hold a hearing after the sentencing to consider how much of the court record—including Dugard’s grand jury testimony—to make public. He’ll rule “at a later date,” the Chronicle’s Demian Bulwa reports.
Add book: Which, of course, presents the unusual publisher’s risk of a memoir’s release being scooped by grand jury transcripts.
