Parents and other constituents are clamoring for it, but the state Legislature Friday once again turned its back on new privacy protections on social networking sites. At issue: a measure by Sen. Ellen Corbett (D-San Leandro) to require social networking sites to remove information when requested and let parents edit their kids’ Web postings to exclude information.
