First big book deal of the post-Osama bin Laden era

Peter Bergen will write the “definitive” book on the hunt for the Al Qaeda leader, says Crown Publishers. Media Decoder says its working title is, “The Manhunt.”

Add Bergen: He’s the former CNN producer whose 1997 sit-down with bin Laden has been widely replayed. These days he is national security analyst for CNN and directs the National Security Studies program at New America Foundation.
