Former U. S. District Judge Vaughn Walker, caught up in the controversy surrounding his showing of Prop 8 trial video, has turned to San Francisco criminal defense lawyer Ephraim Margolin to represent him.
Add Walker: Just what that may entail isn’t yet clear, as Margolin tells the Legal Pad blog. Prop 8 backers are in a huff about the judge’s showing a snippet of the sealed video at a speech in Arizona that got picked up by C-SPAN and others. Walker’s position is that the video is part of his chamber record and can be used at his discretion, but he’s said he’ll abide by whatever a court decides.
