Los Angeles police arrested a suspect in the brutal beating of Giants fan Bryan Stow early this morning in a SWAT team operation at an East Los Angeles apartment. The L. A. Times says at least two other people have been detained for questioning. LAPD chief Charlie Beck and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa have scheduled a 4 o’clock presser at the stadium to provide details.[+] Update 6:35 p.m. Sunday: The cops identify the suspect as 31-year-old Giovanni Ramirez. He's charged with assault with a deadly weapon and is being held on $1 million bail, the L. A. Times says.
