New York Times’ tech columnist David Pogue is making news again—this time by dating a San Francisco PR executive whose firm’s clients include, oh, a string of companies whose products Pogue writes about. The Daily Beast says Pogue told his NYT supervisor about the relationship with Nicky Dugan of the OutCast Agency back in December. Apparently, the NYT didn’t think it was a problem as long as Pogue didn’t write about clients that were Dugan’s direct accounts.
Add Pogue: Meanwhile, Pogue got ambushed last week at a tech conference in Connecticut, where his estranged wife and three children live, after a local reporter asked him about a fracas in which the couple were charged with disorderly conduct. (Jennifer Pogue claimed her husband hit her with an iPhone.) Here’s last Friday’s piece in Connecticut’s Westport News.
