Danville’s own Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger III of “Miracle on the Hudson” fame has a new gig—with CBS News as resident “aviation and safety expert.” He’ll be a talking head on network news shows on aviation issues, including presumably when there’s an air tragedy to report.
Add Sullenberger: Since his heroic landing of U. S. Airways Flight 1549 on Jan. 15, 2009, he’s retired as a pilot, become a best-selling author, was grand marshal of the Rose Parade, and been much in demand as a speaker. So one thing he shouldn’t be is camera shy.
