Academy of Art University gets more press attention for its real estate acquisitiveness and its playing fast and loose with city planning regulations than for its academics. And that’s not apt to change after the for-profit school’s recent purchase of the landmark Cannery Building near Fisherman’s Wharf. Today it’s the Wall Street Journal’s turn to peek at Academy of Art with a spread in its Bay Area zoned pages.
