Dirty work: porn photog turns trash vigilante

Monday, June 6, 2011

Meet Rikki Ercoli, laid off porn photographer turned videographer of trash thieves. Lauren Smiley at SF Weekly describes him this way:
“Now unemployed, unoccupied, and hunkered down in his apartment like James Stewart in Rear Window, he’s become a one-man vigilante against ridding his neighborhood of the notorious trash thieves.”
Add: Ercoli’s apartment looks out on the parking lots near Market and Gough Streets—next to former supervisor Chris Daly’s Buck Tavern. He’s posting a lot to YouTube (including this 11 minute epic) and has invited the cops and Supervisor Jane Kim to have a look. So far, Smiley says, there’s not much enthusiasm for enforcement.
