Looks like the Contra Costa police corruption scandal may be about to broaden, with DA Mark Peterson’s announcement Friday that the feds are taking over the investigation. Four former cops are implicated thus far in a range of alleged crimes, including private investigator and would-be reality TV star Christopher Butler (pictured) and Norman Wielsch, a former state drug task force leader.
