The former Bay Area social activist whose short-lived career as a green jobs advisor to President Obama ended after Fox News talker Glenn Back made him a nightly target for Tea Partiers was keynote speaker at today’s Netroots Nation Conference in Minneapolis. And in an interview with Talking Points Memo, he took a victory lap of sorts with respect to Beck, whose Fox show ends June 30:
"It's a vindication of the basic decency and dignity of the American people. And it's a vindication of, in some ways, of the way that the free enterprise system can self-correct."
