Harold Camping’s radio show to end

Thursday, June 23, 2011

imageThe doomsday preacher’s weekday show on his Oakland-based Family Radio network will cease to broadcast once his most recent sermons before he suffered a stroke June 9 have finished re-airing. The Christian station, which Fortune magazine estimates is worth $72 million and is financed entirely by donations, plans to replace the show with other programming.

Add: A spokeswoman for the Alameda minister who famously predicted the end of the world would happen May 21 tells the Oakland Tribune’s Angela Woodall that he “is still in the hospital and continues to recover.”
