In Alameda, drowning scandal is re-enacted

Sunday, June 12, 2011

imageJust how easy would it have been to save Raymond Zack from slow motion suicide by drowning off Alameda’s Crown Point State Beach? Pretty easy, judging from the re-enactment performed at the beach this morning, with about a dozen people wading into the water while a former fireman demonstrated how the rescue could have been led, says Sean Maher at the Oakland Tribune.

Add re-enactment: The woman who called 911 the day of Zack’s drowning while police and fire personnel stood around and watched for an hour tells ABC 7: "I think, 'Why didn't I do something, because obviously it would not have been that difficult."
