Sounds like Sydnie Kohara’s last day on-air at CBS 5 last week was a bit messy. Blogger Rich Lieberman says she “was fired, amid tears, but was allowed, by demand, to bid an emotional on-air farewell” from the Morning Show. He cites an unnamed station source as saying she was accompanied out by a security guard.
Context: Kohara was widely rumored to be on her way out last year, when CBS 5 dropped her long-time former Morning Show partner John Kessler when his contract was up. At the time, hers had a few more months to run.
