The Supreme Court ruled unanimously this morning that the massive sex discrimination lawsuit against Wal-Mart cannot proceed as a class action. It’s a huge win for the nation’s largest retailer. It means lead plaintiff Betty Dukes (pictured) of Pittsburg and others may pursue their claims on their own, but with much less money at stake and much less pressure on Wal-Mart to settle, AP reports.
Add: Dukes has been a greeter at the Pittsburg Wal-Mart store for 17 years. If she’s working today, good bet is that the parking lot will be overrun with TV trucks.
