Monday’s announcement of a Tribune Company realignment that leaves the flagship Los Angeles Times conspicuously as its own entity under a separate executive steward has rekindled speculation that the paper may be on the market. Kevin Roderick at LA Observed says a “flurry of high-level meetings and grim faces” at the LAT in recent days has—sale or not—heightened fears of more layoffs.
