The former East Bay congresswoman turned State Department undersecretary sat down with the Contra Costa Times’ Lisa Vorderbrueggen to talk about her triumph over cancer. It’s been 7 months since surgeons rebuilt her cancerous esophagus and Vorderbrueggen says Tauscher “is a slim brunette, a return to her natural color after years as a blonde, sports a dress size from her younger days and says she feels better than ever.” Tauscher was in the Bay Area to speak to the Commonwealth Club in Lafayette.
