Giants at the White House, two perspectives

Sunday, July 24, 2011

imageAs the Giants visit the White House tomorrow for the obligatory Presidential meet-and-greet with the World Series champions, two distinct views from within the pages of the Chronicle. Says sports columnist Scott Ostler:

At least a few of the Giants grumbled privately that they’d rather skip the White House visit in favor of a nap, thus reinforcing my argument that these presidential photo-ops-with-jocks are a tradition that should be quietly retired.
