In Al Sharpton, another lobbyist turns media poser

Thursday, July 28, 2011

imageMedia ethics alert: MSNBC, the subsidiary of a subsidiary controlled by Comcast, is rumored to be on the verge of hiring the Rev. Al Sharpton to fill a slot in its cable lineup. If it happens, it could be a first: Sharpton is a former Comcast lobbyist who would now be hosting a news show for an outfit whose parent company he once lobbied for. The NYT’s Brian Stelter pores over it.

Noted: From the way he’s cleaned up lately—new haircut, obvious weight loss—Sharpton looks anchor ready.
