Picasso art theft suspect arrested

Thursday, July 7, 2011

imageHe’s Mark Lugo, 31, of Hoboken, N. J. He was arrested about 9:30 last night at a hotel in Napa. The Picasso pencil drawing was recovered intact, minus the frame. At a news conference this morning, the cops say Lugo was working alone, doesn’t have a prior criminal record, and evidently was going to ship the stolen art to an unknown party, the Chronicle says. Bail: $5 million.
