UC Press to slash its poetry series

Thursday, July 21, 2011

UC Press is putting its New California Poetry imageseries on hiatus. The Daily Clog says it’s reviewing just 3 titles for 2012 and none in 2013. The culprit: a 10 percent funding cut from the university.

Noted: Although the “Autobiography of Mark Twain” was a blockbuster for UC Press, poetry titles average selling only about 1,000 copies each.
