The handwringing continues over the violence during and after the 49ers-Raiders game at Candlestick Park Saturday that included two separate shootings and assorted hooliganism in the stands and parking lots. One of the two shooting victims remains in critical condition. The Chronicle reports universal condemnation of the violence, as is to be expected. The LA Times this morning offers up this quote from Raiders chief executive Amy Trask who defends Oakland fans, even though there’s nothing yet to suggest that one team’s followers had a lock on the brutishness:
"Stereotypes are insidious. It's so simple to stereotype Raiders fans. It's an easy story. If you are hearing frustration coming through in my voice it's because there's frustration in my voice."
