Arnold Schwarzenegger,
Notables,
Politics
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s speech last night before national Chamber of Commerce executives in L. A. sounds rather surreal. The execs gave him a standing ovation after a spiel in which he’s said to have quoted Eisenhower and cracked a lot of Hollywood jokes, the LA Daily News says. But nary a hint of anything real going on in the ex-guv’s life, like his messy divorce, the ongoing furor over his last-minute pardon of a political pal’s son, or the scandal over impregnating his former maid.
