Barry Bonds’ felony conviction upheld

A federal judge upholds Barry Bonds’ obstruction of justice conviction and rejects the former Giants slugger’s bid for a new trial. Judge Susan Illston says Bonds “repeatedly provided nonresponsive answers” while being questioned before a grand jury about drug use. He can still appeal to the Ninth Circuit. Chronicle has more.
