The popular burger palace on Grand Avenue in Oakland opened by a couple of local chefs last year is making the most of an unexpected customer—an In-N-Out employee, in uniform no less. Beneath a wall photo on Trueburger’s Facebook page of what appears to be the rival burger maker at the cash register (his face is shielded), the caption reads: “Where do In-N-Out employees go for lunch?”
Also: Paolo Lucchesi at Inside Scoop SF says things are going so well for owners Greg Eng and Jason Low (former sous chefs at Oakland’s Bay Wolf) they’ve started to think about a second location.
