Looks like Ed Lee is going to
stretch out any announcement of his entrance in the mayor’s race maybe right down to the Aug. 12 filing deadline. The Bay Citizen’s Gerry Shih says the mayor told reporters in the Bayview this morning that he’ll announce his political future “within the next 12 days.” And, yes, he’s still being coy:
“I have to be ready for all the politics that this city usually has, and hopefully it shouldn’t be as nasty as it has been in the past. I wouldn’t like that but that’s nothing to fear.”
