How’s this for a compliment? LA Times political pundit George Skelton says the economic growth plan Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom unveiled in Silicon Valley last Friday “by itself, wasn’t worth the ink used to print it.” That’s because, despite how Newsom projects himself, he’s still powerless as the lieutenant governor. But Skelton goes on to give the Lite Guv credit, saying he’s focused on California’s most important issue: “Where is Gov. Jerry Brown’s jobs plan? Where is the Legislature's?”
