Prosecutor, angry over bungling of Dugard case, releases video

Wednesday, August 3, 2011

imageThe district attorney who helped put away Jaycee Dugard’s tormentors, Phillip and Nancy Garrido, is still steaming over the botch-job by state and federal parole officers in the case. That’s why he’s released a new, disturbing video that supports evidence that Nancy Garrido lured young children into a van and videotaped them stretching and doing various poses so that her husband could review them later, the Chronicle says. Says DA Vern Pierson:

"The failings of the parole system and the failings of the criminal justice system is so bad, we need to release enough information so the public is able to grasp and understand the magnitude of it."
