University of San Francisco has agreed to buy the historic Folger Coffee Building at 101 Howard Street downtown and plans to move some academic as well as administrative and non-academic units there. A university press release says no decisions yet on which ones. Although USF doesn’t say how much it paid for the 1905 building, Curbed SF says it was $36.5 million.
Add: Among the tenants there now, the San Francisco campus of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School will likely move elsewhere once its lease is up, Curbed says.
