The Warriors have patched up relations with NBA great
Chris Mullin just in time for the former GM to be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame next week. The previous Warriors regime tossed Mullin overboard in 2009, and until recently the ESPN analyst has pretty much been persona non grata with the organization. Things weren’t much better when Joe Lacob et al took over, with Lacob openly dissing some of Mullin’s management decisions. But Warriors insider Matt Steinmetz says that's changed:
In April, after Mullin had been named to the 2011 Hall of Fame class, Lacob said he wanted to retire Mullin's No. 17 Warriors jersey and indicated he hadn't even realized it wasn't retired. He also reached out to Mullin at the time to congratulate him on the honor.
Noted: They’ve thrown up a
Web page for him and there’ll be a Warriors delegation at next week’s induction in Springfield, Mass.
