That’s reporter Benny Evangelista at his cluttered desk in the middle of the Chronicle newsroom. It’s about to garner more attention now that director Steven Soderberg used it for a scene in the upcoming thriller “Contagion,” about an international team of doctors fighting a deadly disease.
Add: As Evangelista acknowledges, he once had a sign that read, “A Clean Desk is the Sign of a Sick Mind” but can no longer find it.
