More backlash against executive pay in the Cal State system, this time from the CSU Faculty Association. It unveiled a new online ad showing Monopoly money raining down on a smiling Rich Uncle Pennybags. Erica Perez at California Watch says the tipping point was the board of trustees’ decision in July to pay new San Diego State president Elliot Hirshman $100,000 more than his predecessor the same day they raised student tuition by 12 percent.
