In Berkeley, an infamous drug house gets a makeover

Friday, September 9, 2011

imageIt was only last November that Berkeleyside described the house at 1610 Oregon Street as an “epicenter of Berkeley’s drug wars.” That was then (below). Now, Frances Dinkelspiel blogs that the sold and remodeled house is on the market for $459,000 and is being billed as a neighborhood gem with a nod to the locavore movement. Says one ad: “A Sunny Yard Big Enough for a Mini-farm.” Beats flying bullets.
