Here’s the sort of church-state relations stuff that doesn’t make headlines, at least here. His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, Holy See of the Great House of Cilicia and leader of the Armenian Apostolic Church, was in town from Lebanon last Friday. He met with Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom at the Fairmont Hotel and then
moved over to City Hall for a session with Mayor Ed Lee. The photos posted to an Armenian American news site makes the lieutenant governor and the mayor look as if they’ve been called to the principal’s office. I’m guessing it was unintentional.
