What’s wrong with this picture? BART spent $2 million to build a zigzag ramp leading from the Lafayette station to a sidewalk without any way for wheelchairs to access it from one of its parking lots. California Watch’s Mark Katches reported on the oversight Tuesday and voila! A BART spokesman (other than Linton Johnson, who’s been on personal leave for going on six weeks since engaging in a rash of media-related snafus) says the BART mind trust is on it.
