Death certificate: Al Davis died at Oakland Airport Hilton

The 82-year-old Raiders owner had throat surgery three days before he died of heart failure, according to his death certificate. It was widely reported that he died at his home in Oakland, but the death certificate shows that he died at 2:45 a.m. on Oct. 8 at the Oakland Airport Hilton on Hegenberger Road, his home for much of the football season, the Chronicle says. Davis owned a home in Piedmont with his wife, Carol.
