Not much suspense here: ESPN has decided to end its association with country singer Hank Williams Jr. over his remarks on Fox News comparing President Obama with Hitler. But the sports cabler barely announced that he’ll no longer be part of Monday Night Football’s musical intro before Williams fired a volley, TV Newser says:
“After reading hundreds of e-mails, I have made MY decision,” Williams said in a statement. “You (ESPN) stepped on the Toes of The First Amendment Freedom of Speech, so therefore Me, My Song, and All My Rowdy Friends are OUT OF HERE. It’s been a great run.”
