It’s Halloween, not April Fool’s Day, but . . . Berkeley officials say enough people are being frightened by a prank email claiming that UC seismologists are predicting an imminent 6.0 earthquake on the Hayward fault that they’re officially debunking it. Berkeleyside says the email began spreading Friday and that enough people in town were concerned about it that deputy city manager Christine Daniel sent an email of her own this morning, calling out the hoax.
