Among the pre-bio release leakage comes the tidbit that Steve Jobs was livid in January of last year after Taiwan’s HTC introduced an Android phone with many of the same features as the iPhone and swore to “destroy Android” for what he referred to as Google’s “grand theft,” PaidContent says. An excerpt:
“I will spend my last dying breath if I need to, and I will spend every penny of Apple’s $40bn in the bank, to right this wrong,” Jobs told [biographer Walter] Isaacson. “I’m going to destroy Android, because it’s a stolen product. I’m willing to go thermonuclear war on this.”
Noted: Isaacson’s Jobs biography is due for release Monday.
