Lawsuit claims Tim Lincecum trashed his Mission district apartment

Thursday, October 6, 2011

imageThe Giants pitcher is being sued for $350,000 by his former landlord who claims he illegally occupied a Hampshire Street apartment in the Mission for three months after his lease expired in February and left it a wreck. Lincecum’s L. A. attorney Rick Thurman tells Bay Area News Group’s Matthew Artz the lawsuit is unwarranted and “I’m not going to dignify it with a response.”

Add: Says landlord Mindy Freile’s lawyer, Jonathan Bonstein: “My belief is there was some kind of party that left it in really bad condition. Maybe there’s a perfectly good explanation on his side, but we haven’t heard it yet.”
