Ethan Nosowsky, editor-at-large at Minnesota-based Graywolf Press takes over as editorial director at McSweeney’s, Dave Eggers’ San Francisco publishing house, Oct. 31. Nosowsky has edited books by Geoff Dyer, Emily Barton, Stephen Elliott and others. The New York Observer, which reported the hire, says his more traditional book publishing background may be a sign that McSweeney’s plans to be more aggressive about acquiring work.
