Oakland protest’s focus turns to Wednesday strike

Monday, October 31, 2011

imageOccupy Oakland medics are disavowing a notice leaked to city officials threatening to occupy Mayor Jean Quan’s office today if more than a dozen crates of medical supplies taken by police during last week’s raid weren’t returned to them. No matter, the supplies were returned early today, the Oakland Tribune says.

Noted: Frank Ogawa Plaza remains calm today, as protesters, and the city, brace for Wednesday’s planned general strike, which, by some estimates, could involve up to 10,000 people.
