Poll: Ed Lee leads mayor’s race in a romp

Monday, October 17, 2011

imageIf this were football, we’d be talking blowout. Three weeks before the election, Mayor Ed Lee is the first choice of 31 percent of respondents in a Bay Citizen-USF poll, with a cluster of others in the far rear view mirror. They’re City Attorney Dennis Herrera, 8.1%; John Avalos, who has the endorsement of San Francisco’s Democratic Party, 7.4%, and state Sen. Leland Yee, once considered a leading contender, just 6.5%.

Noted: More than 1 in 5 voters remain undecided.
